V ostrém testu naleznete anglickou sekci nejspíše úplně na konci. Tento oddíl má dvě specifika: zaprvé, což vás asi nepřekvapí, se jedná o úlohy se zadáním v angličtině, a zadruhé, jednotlivé příklady jsou obdobné těm, se kterými jste se mohli setkat již v předchozích oddílech. Najdete zde tedy úlohy z předchozích šesti oddílů, pouze v angličtině.
Strategie
Dobře si rozmyslete, jestli se úlohám v angličtině budete v TSP věnovat. Obtížnost řešení by se normálně nelišila od zbytku úloh v testu, ale jazyková bariéra jim na obtížnosti přidává. Pokud máte problémy například s úlohami numerického myšlení, dá se předpokládat, že jejich obdoba v angličtině pro vás nebude o nic jednodušší. Anglické sekci se budete muset věnovat, pokud výrazně zaostáváte v jiném oddílu nebo pokud k přijetí potřebujete vysoký percentil. Určitě si z nich ale vybírejte ty, které vám připadají jednodušší. Také doporučujeme nechat si úlohy z této sekce až úplně na konec. Ujistěte se, že je vám jasný význam všech slov v následujícím slovníčku. Ten obsahuje často se opakující klíčová slova. I když s nimi určitě nevystačíte, pouštět se do anglické sekce bez jejich znalosti asi ani nemá význam.

Sea level rise is not a new phenomenon. For much of the 20th century, the global mean sea level has been inching upward – about 0,05 inches (1,4 millimeters) per year, according to the United Nations‘ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Global mean sea level is an average of all the seas covering the Earth. But during the last two decades, the rate has more than doubled. From 2005 to 2015, sea levels rose by 0,1 inches (3,6 mm) per year.
Many places are experiencing a rise as the global mean rises, but in a few places sea level is falling, said Jacky Austermann, an assistant professor of Earth and environmental sciences at Columbia University’s Lamont‑Doherty Earth Observatory in New York. „There’s not a place that’s immune from sea level change,“ Austermann told Live Science.
